Healthcare in China is widely available in the larger cities and towns, but when you get to the more rural areas it can be pretty basic and sparse. Costs the public hospitals are low and the standards are pretty high. This said it is always worth researching hospitals before you actually need to go to one because as you would expect from such a vast country quality, ease of access and costs can very enormously.
