      Medical information helpline

      With our Health at Hand medical helpline, your employees have telephone access to nurses, counsellors, midwives* and pharmacists* around the clock. They're ready to offer confidential information on any health queries, whether it’s a worry about health precautions before travelling or simply support and reassurance while far from home.

      *Our pharmacists and midwives are here from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, until 4pm on Saturday, and until 12pm on Sunday (GMT).

      Second Opinion service

      We work with independent medical experts to offer all our members the option of a second medical opinion or treatment plan review for certain diagnoses. The second opinion service is provided by independent health consultants, Medix, and is all about providing medical guidance, quality supervision and support - allowing your employees to make informed choices at critical times.

      Global treatment search

      Your employees will also get access to MyGlobe, where they can search our global network of preferred healthcare providers to get the treatment they need, when they need it. And as well as helping them find treatment fast, MyGlobe gives up-to-the-minute information about the country they’re in or travelling to such as local emergency numbers, vaccinations they might need, disease outbreaks and security updates – providing a world of information at their fingertips.

      Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

      At AXA, we also understand the challenge that sickness and absence in the workplace poses to employers. That's why we work with AXA ICAS International to offer our Global Employee Assistance Programme, a truly international health and wellbeing programme that helps your employees tackle their problems at an early stage before the problems start to have a detrimental effect on their work.

      Addressing these issues early on can help to reduce your sickness absence costs and get the healthy, focused and productive workforce you need - no matter where in the world your employees are based. You have the option to add an EAP to any of our International healthcare plans, for an all-round approach to your workforce wellness.
